I've Been Tagged!

So, my new friend seriously? out on the West Coast was not only kind enough to be my first official follower but she also tagged me. I'm fairly new to the blogging world but I've seen this done a number of times in a number of different ways. I'm glad I got an easy one!

The deal is that I list 20 random things about myself. Pretty wide open there. Thankfully! Oh, and then you tag 20 others to play along. This one is a bit more problematic. You see, I don't "know" 20 more bloggers. Yes, I keep up with and comment on that many or more but I've also seen where alot of them have already been tagged. And I don't want to go beating a dead horse. I want for these people to like me, not despise me!

Here goes: And don't anyone comment on how screwed up my bullet points are! You have no idea how long I worked on this and it's keeps messing up :( I give up!

1. All of my professional career was spent in Human Resources. Except 9 months when I took a low stress job as a bank teller. I loved that job, by the way! Now I teach 1 year olds. It's pretty much the same as H.R. since a lot of my old employees acted like 1 year olds!

  1. I am obsessive ear cleaner. I have a twice a day habit. I believe we own stock in Q-Tips. Just a heads up, don't miss my Not Me! Monday (on Monday :p ). Something may not possibly involve said Q-Tips. But I did not just tell you that. That would be cheating because it's not Monday yet!

  2. I love this whole blogging experience. It is not only a weird social outlet for me but it actually allows me to use my adult brain creatively on people over the age of 9.

  3. In my pre-kid days I swore I would never, ever drive a van. Shoot me first. Please! FYI-LOVE MY VAN. My baby has done me right for almost 7 years now and I still love her! She is my least needy child.

  4. I've only been hospitalized twice in my entire life. Both times for childbirth. And both times resulting in c-sections. Baby #1- 9lb5oz, baby#2- 10lb2oz. And #2 got stuck in the incision. Like trying to pull a pig through a keyhole. Need I say more?!

6. As a toddler, I was once "kidnapped" according to my older sister as told to my Mother. I was in fact lifted over the back fence from our yard into some stranger's yard. I remember the incident like it was yesterday. Thanks for saving me Deb! Today that man would've been shot or jailed.

7. I have super poor vision and wear my contacts 24/7. How else would I save my family in a fire all while looking for a pair of glasses? Seriously, I'm nearly blind.

8. I love my girls more than anything but they are usually plucking at my last nerve by bedtime. What's that about? And medication doesn't really help for that ;)

9. In my heart I want to save the Earth. I love to reduce, reuse, repurpose, recycle. It kills me that my other half just wants to trash it. Sometimes he wins. Ok, lately he seems to be winning all the time.

10. I'm a PTA Mom approaching burn-out. I just can't talk about this one. It's so disappointing!

11. I love antiques and 99.5% of our furniture would be...antiques. The other .5% would be the leather furniture in our family room. You gotta have something kid proof for them to sit on!

12. Mark and I met on a blind date almost 17 years ago, he got transferred a few months later to St. Louis, we continued long distance then eventually married. We've been married 14 1/2 years. Ironically, the couple who introduced us--Splitsville not too long afterwards.

13. I learned to smock when I was pregnant with my 1st. I was "smock and sew" extraordinaire until number 2 came along and then it all imploded. I have a sewing room with 3 machines and I'm not even going to admit how many $ worth of fabrics, laces, ribbons and supplies. That room is my black eye.

14. I love clean windows but hate to clean them. There is not one window or mirror in my home that isn't most likely sweared with fingerprints. Thank you girls!

15. When I was little I aspired to be a nurse and drive a Toyota Corolla. Totally random fact there! My Mother and sister are now both nurses and I couldn't do it if I wanted to. Plus, I've never owned a Toyota. I'm a Honda girl.

16. The only thing I eat from Subway is the Veggie & Cheese sandwich DRY with salt & pepper only, nothing wet or squishy.

17. I'm not a vegetarian but I love to find and try new vegetarian recipes. Meat: I can take it or leave it most of the time.

18. The only traffic "accident" I've ever had was just a bump to the person in front of me because I was upset and crying that my boyfriend was so stupid and had dumped me. His loss. Well, and the crunched up turn signal on my car, also.

19. I need a cut and color so bad right now. But as always, that can wait. Pay attention to #20.

20. I believe I have turned into a procrastinator. Luckily, I don't procrastinate about everything.

So there is my list of 20 random facts about myself. The next part is to tag 20 other bloggers to do the same thing. I'm going out on a limb here (Please don't hate me!) and choosing the following:

Hilary at A Look Into Our Lives

Vaughn Family Chaos

Janet at Greetings from Gauteng

Angela at Angela's Adventures & Minor Mishaps

Megan at Newly Wed & Newly Bred

Sarah at Cure SMA 4 Stella

Missi at 2 Is My Limit

To round out the "rules", create a 20 random things about yourself, linking back to my blog, calling out 20 new folks & linking to them then leaving a comment on each of their blogs ltting them know they've been tagged. Let me tell ya, this is alot of work. And stress. Have fun!

Thanks for the Tag, Pam. It was a lot of fun. I can definitely relate to burn-out!
